The Right Laser Can Change Your Skin. Choosing The Right One Changes Everything.

Laser Treatments in Nashville, TN, at Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness

Maybe you’re noticing years of sun exposure beginning to show. Brown spots seem darker. Redness is harder to cover. Your pores look more noticeable, your skin doesn’t feel quite as smooth, or the glow you used to have takes a little more work to find. Laser and light-based treatments give us different ways to address those concerns, but the key is choosing the right technology for the right skin.

At Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness, we don’t believe every complexion belongs under the same laser. We look at your skin tone, texture, pigmentation, redness, signs of aging, treatment history, goals, and downtime preferences before deciding what belongs in your plan. Sometimes one treatment is exactly what you need. Sometimes the best results come from layering technologies that work at different depths.

It's Not About Having A Laser. It's About Knowing Which One To Use.

Why Choose Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness for Laser Treatments?

Laser treatments can accomplish very different things depending on the technology, wavelength, depth, and treatment settings. That’s why your consultation matters just as much as the device itself.

Hourglass offers multiple laser and light-based technologies, allowing us to build your treatment around your skin rather than trying to make one machine address every concern.

See The Hourglass Difference
At our Nashville location, the goal isn’t to put you under the strongest laser possible. It’s to choose the treatment that gives your skin the kind of improvement you’re actually looking for.

Laser Treatments: The Highlights

Sun damage, brown spots, uneven pigmentation, redness, visible vessels, fine lines, rough texture, enlarged-looking pores, acne and acne scars, and other signs of skin aging or damage.
Your treatment begins with an assessment to determine which technology, intensity, and treatment depth make sense for your skin.
Hourglass offers advanced laser and light-based technologies through the Sciton JOULE X platform, including HALO, BBL HEROic, Forever Young BBL, and Forever Clear BBL, along with CoolPeel, Laser Genesis, DEKA/Tetra CO2 resurfacing, and other customized skin-rejuvenating treatments.
Varies significantly. Some treatments are designed around minimal interruption, while deeper resurfacing requires more healing time.
Depending on the technology, improvement may develop as pigmentation clears, redness fades, skin renews, or new collagen forms over time.
We can treat different layers of the skin rather than expecting one device to accomplish everything.
Laser treatments can be incorporated into an ongoing skin plan for correction, rejuvenation, and maintenance as your skin changes.
Your Skin Doesn't Age In One Way. We Don't Treat It One Way Either.

What Can Laser Treatments Actually Improve?

Sun damage doesn’t behave like redness. Redness doesn’t behave like texture. And a treatment that beautifully improves brown spots may not be the best tool for deeper acne scars or more advanced resurfacing.

Laser and light-based treatments allow us to target different concerns using different forms and depths of energy.

Depending on your skin and the technology selected, treatment may help improve:

You don’t have to know whether you need BBL, HALO, CO2, or another treatment before your appointment.

Tell us what you see when you look at your skin. We’ll help determine which technology makes sense.

Different Technology. Different Depth. Different Job.

Laser & Light Treatments at Hourglass

Hourglass offers a comprehensive collection of laser and light-based treatments because great skin rarely comes down to addressing just one concern or one layer.

Our technology includes the Sciton JOULE X laser and light platform, which gives us access to advanced treatments such as BBL HEROic, Forever Young BBL, Forever Clear BBL, and HALO. We also offer CoolPeel, DEKA/Tetra CO2 resurfacing, and Laser Genesis, giving us the flexibility to select technology based on what your skin actually needs.

Some treatments target visible pigment, redness, and vascular concerns. Others focus on resurfacing, texture, collagen remodeling, or deeper signs of skin damage.

You may need one technology or a carefully planned combination. The goal isn’t to use every tool we have. It’s to choose the right one for your skin.

One Advanced Platform. Multiple Ways To Treat Your Skin.

Sciton JOULE X is an advanced multi-application laser and light platform that allows us to customize treatment for a wide range of skin concerns.

Rather than relying on a single type of energy to accomplish everything, JOULE X supports multiple technologies and treatment modalities. At Hourglass, this includes BBL HEROic for visible pigmentation and redness, specialized BBL protocols for skin rejuvenation and acne, and HALO hybrid fractional laser resurfacing.

This versatility gives us more freedom to build your treatment around your skin, whether you’re focused on sun damage, uneven tone, redness, texture, pores, signs of aging, or a combination of concerns.

Advanced BroadBand Light Powered By Sciton JOULE X.

BBL HEROic is an advanced BroadBand Light treatment available through the Sciton JOULE X platform. Rather than resurfacing the skin, BBL delivers controlled light energy to target visible pigmentation and vascular concerns.

Depending on your skin and treatment plan, BBL HEROic may be used to improve:

  • Sun damage
  • Brown spots
  • Age spots
  • Uneven pigmentation
  • Redness
  • Rosacea-related visible redness
  • Other visible discoloration

BBL HEROic can also efficiently treat larger areas, allowing us to address accumulated sun damage and discoloration beyond the face, including the neck, chest, arms, and other appropriate treatment areas.

A Proactive Approach to Maintaining Clearer, More Even-Looking Skin.

Forever Young BBL is a Sciton BBL treatment protocol designed to address visible signs of skin aging and photodamage.

Using BroadBand Light delivered through the JOULE X platform, treatment can target concerns involving uneven tone, pigmentation, redness, freckles, age spots, and small visible blood vessels.

Forever Young BBL can also be incorporated into an ongoing skin maintenance plan. Rather than waiting for years of accumulated sun damage and discoloration to become increasingly noticeable, appropriate patients can use periodic treatments as part of a broader strategy for maintaining clearer, more even-looking skin.

Because Active Acne Needs A Different Kind Of Treatment.

Forever Clear BBL is another specialized Sciton BBL protocol, but its focus is acne-prone skin rather than photodamage.

Treatment uses multiple wavelengths of BroadBand Light in a carefully sequenced protocol to address different components of active acne and the visible inflammation associated with breakouts.

For appropriate patients, Forever Clear BBL can become one part of a more comprehensive acne plan alongside professional skincare, facials, chemical peels, or other treatments selected according to the skin’s needs.

Two Wavelengths. One Highly Customizable Resurfacing Treatment.

HALO is Sciton’s hybrid fractional laser technology available through the JOULE X platform. What makes HALO different is its ability to deliver both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths within the same treatment.

That allows us to address concerns at different depths while customizing the balance between correction and recovery according to your skin and goals.

HALO may be considered for:

  • Fine lines
  • Sun damage
  • Sunspots
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • Rough or uneven texture
  • Overall skin rejuvenation

For patients who want to address both tone and texture, HALO can offer a more comprehensive resurfacing approach than treatments focused primarily on visible discoloration.

CO2 Resurfacing With A More Modern Approach To Recovery.

CoolPeel uses CO2 laser technology to address surface-level skin damage and stimulate skin renewal while minimizing unnecessary thermal exposure to surrounding tissue.

At Hourglass, CoolPeel may be considered for patients who want to improve concerns such as:

  • Fine lines
  • Uneven texture
  • Visible sun damage
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • Overall skin quality

CoolPeel can be an appealing option when resurfacing is the goal, but you aren’t necessarily looking for the recovery associated with a more aggressive, traditional CO2 treatment.

Your provider will determine the appropriate treatment intensity based on your skin and the degree of correction you’re hoping to achieve.

When Your Skin Needs A Deeper Level Of Resurfacing.

For patients with more advanced texture, photodamage, or signs of skin aging, Hourglass also offers DEKA SmartXide Tetra CO2 laser resurfacing.

CO2 technology allows us to customize treatment depth, density, and intensity based on the amount of correction your skin needs.

DEKA/Tetra CO2 resurfacing may be considered for concerns including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damage
  • Age spots
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • Acne scars
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Rough or crepey texture
  • More advanced signs of skin aging

Deeper doesn’t automatically mean better. The appropriate level of resurfacing depends on your skin, goals, treatment history, and how much recovery you’re comfortable accommodating.

We’ll help you find that balance.

Gentle Heat. Gradual Improvement. Minimal Interruption.

Not every skin concern calls for resurfacing.

Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser treatment that gently heats the skin and can be incorporated into treatment plans for concerns such as redness, fine lines, visible vessels, uneven tone, and certain textural irregularities.

Rather than creating a dramatic resurfacing response, Laser Genesis is designed for gradual improvement over time.

It may be especially appealing if you’re looking for a lighter treatment experience, want minimal interruption to your routine, or are interested in incorporating laser treatments into an ongoing skin maintenance plan.

Microneedling Meets RF Energy. Deeper Remodeling. Smoother, Firmer Skin.

Some concerns need more than surface-level rejuvenation.

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to create controlled micro-injuries while delivering heat into deeper layers of the skin. This dual approach stimulates collagen and elastin remodeling to improve skin quality from within.

Morpheus8 may be incorporated into treatment plans for concerns such as:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Uneven or rough skin texture
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • Mild skin laxity
  • Crepey skin
  • Overall skin firmness and quality

Rather than adding volume or dramatically changing your features, Morpheus8 works by encouraging your skin’s natural remodeling process. Results develop gradually as new collagen forms, making it an especially appealing option if you want smoother, firmer, more refined-looking skin with continued improvement over time.

One Treatment Can Be Great. Sometimes Two Technologies Make More Sense.

What Is Laser Layering?

Hourglass takes a layered approach to laser treatment because no single technology addresses every skin concern at every depth.
Think about someone who has both visible sunspots and rough texture.

BBL may be an excellent option for targeting the visible pigment, but resurfacing technology may be more appropriate for texture. Treating only one concern can leave the other untouched.

That’s where layering becomes valuable.

Instead of asking one device to do everything, we can select technologies based on the specific job each one performs.

BBL for Tone & Pigment

BBL works closer to the surface to address concerns such as redness, brown spots, sun damage, and uneven pigmentation.
Fractional technologies can work deeper within the skin to address texture, pores, early signs of aging, and skin renewal.

Treatments such as HALO or CO2 resurfacing may be appropriate when more significant collagen remodeling or correction of texture and photodamage is desired.

Layering doesn’t mean everyone needs multiple lasers.

It means we can look at all of your concerns and decide whether one technology can realistically address them or whether a combination would produce a more complete result.

The Best Laser Isn't The Strongest One. It's The Right One.

How Do We Choose The Right Laser for Your Skin?

It’s easy to hear about a laser online, see someone’s dramatic before-and-after, and decide that’s the treatment you need. But laser treatments aren’t interchangeable.

Before recommending one, we consider:

This is particularly important because different forms of light and laser energy interact differently with pigment in the skin.

A treatment that makes sense for one person’s concern may not be appropriate for another person’s skin. You don’t need to choose the technology. That’s what your consultation is for.

We Match The Treatment To Your Skin. Not The Other Way Around.

Your Laser Treatment at Hourglass

Because Hourglass offers several different laser and light-based treatments, the experience can vary considerably. A gentle BBL or Laser Genesis appointment isn’t the same experience as HALO or deeper CO2 resurfacing.

Your provider will explain exactly what your treatment involves before you begin.

Hourglass also offers optional PRONOX, a patient-controlled nitrous oxide and oxygen system, for certain treatments when additional comfort support is desired.

If Your Skincare Has Taken You As Far As It Can, It May Be Time To Go Deeper.

Is Laser Skin Treatment Right for You?

Laser treatments can be a great fit for someone who wants to address concerns that topical skincare alone may not completely improve.
You're Seeing Years Of Sun Damage
Freckles, brown spots, and uneven pigmentation have accumulated over time. Light or laser-based treatment can target visible photodamage more directly than skincare alone.
Maybe it’s redness. Maybe it’s pigmentation. Maybe it’s a combination. We can determine which type of discoloration you’re dealing with and which technology is better suited to address it.
Your skin feels rougher, pores look more visible, or old acne has left texture behind. Fractional or resurfacing treatments may offer a different level of correction than surface treatments alone.
Laser resurfacing can stimulate renewal and collagen remodeling while improving surface skin quality, making it an option for patients interested in non-surgical rejuvenation.
Some patients begin with correction and then transition into ongoing maintenance. Because Hourglass offers several technologies, your treatment strategy can evolve as your skin improves.

Good.

You shouldn’t have to diagnose your own skin and compare wavelengths before making an appointment.

Tell us what’s bothering you. We’ll help you choose the technology.

Advanced Technology Is Only Part Of The Equation. The Right Plan Makes The Difference.

Experience Laser Treatments in Nashville

Beautiful skin doesn’t come from choosing the most aggressive laser or trying every technology available. It comes from understanding your skin well enough to know exactly what to treat, how deeply to treat it, and which technology can help you get there.

At Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness, every laser treatment plan begins with a careful evaluation of your skin, your concerns, and your goals. Whether you want to address years of sun damage, improve redness and pigmentation, smooth uneven texture, soften visible signs of aging, or simply maintain healthier-looking skin, we’ll help determine the approach that makes sense for you.

With advanced options including the Sciton JOULE X platform, BBL HEROic, HALO, CoolPeel, DEKA/Tetra CO2, Laser Genesis, and more, we have the flexibility to customize treatment rather than trying to make one technology work for everyone. We’ll also consider how much correction you want, how much downtime fits your lifestyle, and whether one treatment or a layered approach can best address your concerns. Because the goal isn’t to use more technology. It’s to use it thoughtfully.

Laser Treatment FAQs

What is the best laser treatment for my skin?

There isn’t one laser that’s best for every concern. The right treatment depends on your skin tone, pigmentation, redness, texture, degree of sun damage, treatment history, and goals.

BBL uses BroadBand Light rather than a traditional laser wavelength. It is commonly used for concerns involving pigment and redness, while fractional and ablative lasers can be used for resurfacing, texture, and deeper skin remodeling.
That depends on what you’re trying to improve. BBL may be more appropriate when pigmentation or redness is the primary concern, while HALO or CO2 technologies may be considered when texture, resurfacing, or deeper correction is needed.

Can laser treatments remove brown spots?

Light and laser technologies can target certain types of unwanted pigmentation, including brown spots and sun damage. The appropriate treatment depends on the type and depth of pigmentation.
BBL can be used to target visible redness and certain vascular concerns in appropriate patients.
Yes. BBL HEROic can be used on areas beyond the face, making it useful for addressing visible sun damage across larger treatment areas.
Not usually. Depending on the treatment, pigmented areas may temporarily darken before gradually clearing as the skin responds.

What does HALO do?

HALO combines ablative and non-ablative fractional wavelengths to address concerns at different skin depths. It may be used for fine lines, sun damage, uneven tone, enlarged-looking pores, texture, and broader skin rejuvenation.
CO2 resurfacing uses ablative laser energy to remove or remodel damaged skin while stimulating the healing and renewal process beneath it.
Both use CO2 technology, but treatment intensity and delivery can differ significantly. CoolPeel is designed around precise energy delivery with less unnecessary thermal exposure, while more aggressive CO2 settings may be chosen when deeper resurfacing is appropriate.
Recovery generally increases with treatment intensity and depth. More aggressive resurfacing typically requires more healing than non-ablative or light-based treatments.

How much downtime should I expect after laser treatment?

It depends entirely on the treatment. Some light-based procedures involve minimal downtime, while deeper resurfacing may require several days or longer for visible healing.
Redness is common after many laser treatments, but the degree and duration depend on the technology and intensity used.
Some resurfacing treatments can cause flaking or peeling as the skin renews. Not every laser or light-based treatment causes peeling.
When you can resume makeup depends on the procedure and how your skin is healing. Follow the specific instructions provided after your treatment rather than applying makeup before the skin is ready.

How soon will I see laser treatment results?

Timing varies according to what is being treated. Pigmentation changes may become noticeable as treated pigment clears, while improvements related to collagen remodeling can continue developing over time.
Some concerns can improve after one treatment, while others are better addressed with a series. Your skin, concern, treatment intensity, and desired outcome all influence the recommended number.
Laser treatment can improve existing concerns, but it cannot stop future aging or sun exposure from affecting the skin. Maintenance treatments and consistent sun protection may help preserve your results.
Yes. Some patients use laser and light-based treatments periodically for ongoing maintenance after their initial corrective treatment plan.

Are laser treatments appropriate for every skin tone?

Not every laser or setting is appropriate for every skin tone. Skin pigmentation influences how certain forms of laser and light energy interact with the skin, which is why an individualized assessment is important.
Many laser and light treatments interact with pigment. Selecting an inappropriate wavelength, treatment type, or setting can increase the risk of unwanted pigment changes or other complications.
Recent tanning or significant sun exposure can change the amount of pigment in the skin and may affect treatment safety. Your provider will give you specific pre-treatment sun-exposure instructions based on the procedure planned.

Tell us.

We’ll explain what the treatment will feel like, what we’re doing to keep you comfortable, and exactly what you can expect afterward. For certain treatments, Hourglass also offers optional PRONOX to help reduce discomfort and anxiety during the procedure.

Just come in ready to discuss your concern, not the device. We’ll evaluate your skin and determine whether a laser, BBL, resurfacing treatment, or an entirely different approach makes the most sense.
