Sculptra in Nashville, TN, at Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness

There comes a point when facial aging becomes about more than individual lines and wrinkles. The cheeks may look flatter. The temples can begin to hollow. Your face may feel less supported or defined, even if you can’t point to one specific feature that has changed.

Sculptra takes a different approach to those concerns.
Instead of working like a traditional hyaluronic acid filler that immediately adds gel beneath the skin, Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It works gradually by stimulating your body’s own collagen production, helping rebuild support and restore volume over time.

At Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness in Nashville, we use Sculptra for patients who aren’t looking for an overnight transformation. They want something more gradual, more structural, and designed to work with the way their face is changing.

Sculptra Isn't About Filling A Feature. It's About Rebuilding The Foundation.

Why Choose Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness for Sculptra?

Sculptra requires a different mindset from traditional filler. We’re not simply deciding where additional volume would look good today. We’re thinking about where collagen has been lost, where your face could benefit from greater support, and how gradual restoration will affect your overall proportions. That makes treatment planning especially important.
See The Hourglass Difference
At our Nashville location, Sculptra isn’t treated as just another injectable. We use it thoughtfully for patients whose goals align with what collagen stimulation does best.

Sculptra: The Highlights

A biostimulatory injectable made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that stimulates collagen production.
Age-related facial volume loss, hollowing, reduced structural support, and changes in facial contour.
Cheeks, temples, jawline, and other appropriate areas experiencing volume loss.
Sculptra is injected strategically into selected areas according to your facial anatomy and treatment plan.
Improvement develops gradually as your body produces new collagen rather than appearing all at once.
Many patients benefit from a series of treatments spaced apart rather than one appointment.
Results can be long-lasting, with improvement potentially maintained for up to two years or longer for some patients.
We aren’t trying to fill every hollow. We’re looking at where rebuilding support can improve the face as a whole.
Traditional Filler Adds Volume. Sculptra Helps Your Body Rebuild It.

What Makes Sculptra Different From Filler?

Sculptra and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are both injectables, but they achieve their goals differently. Traditional filler provides volume by physically placing a gel beneath the skin. That makes it useful when we want to make a precise, immediate change to the shape, projection, or contour of a particular feature.

Sculptra works differently.

Its poly-L-lactic acid particles stimulate collagen production in the treated areas. The product itself isn’t intended to create your long-term volume. Instead, the goal is for your skin to gradually produce more of its own structural support.

That’s why Sculptra results don’t appear overnight. And for the right patient, that’s part of the appeal. Instead of leaving your appointment looking suddenly different, you gradually notice your face looking fuller, smoother, and more supported as collagen develops.

Think Beyond One Line. Look At The Bigger Picture.

Where Can Sculptra Be Used?

Sculptra is especially useful when facial aging involves broader changes in volume and support rather than one isolated concern.

Depending on your anatomy, treatment may focus on areas such as:

Loss of volume through the cheeks can change the entire shape of the face.

Sculptra can be used strategically through the midface to encourage collagen production and gradually restore support without creating the appearance of heavily filled cheeks.

Temple hollowing can subtly change the way the upper face is framed.

For appropriate patients, Sculptra can help restore volume through this area over time, creating a smoother transition between the forehead, temples, and cheeks.

As facial support changes, the lower face may begin to look softer or less defined.

Sculptra can be incorporated into a broader rejuvenation plan to improve structural support and contour through appropriate areas of the lower face.

Changes in volume can make folds and creases appear more prominent. Rather than simply filling the fold itself, Sculptra allows us to think more broadly about the surrounding volume loss and structural changes contributing to what you see.

Hip dips are a natural part of anatomy, but if you prefer a smoother transition between your hips and thighs, Sculptra can offer a non-surgical approach to subtle contour enhancement.

Strategic injections encourage collagen production while gradually adding volume through visible indentations.

As results develop, the outer hip can appear smoother and more rounded without the sudden change associated with surgery.

The goal isn’t to completely change your natural shape. It’s to soften the areas that interrupt the contour you want.

If you want more shape through the buttocks without implants or fat-transfer surgery, Sculptra can be used as part of a non-surgical butt enhancement plan.

Often referred to as a Sculptra BBL or non-surgical BBL, treatment uses strategically placed injections to stimulate collagen and gradually enhance volume, shape, and contour. Because the change develops progressively, results can be subtle and customized to complement your existing proportions.

Sculptra can be particularly appealing for patients who want modest enhancement or don’t want the surgery and recovery associated with a traditional Brazilian butt lift.

The skin above the knees can become thinner, looser, or more crepey over time, creating texture that may become especially noticeable when standing or extending the legs.

Sculptra can be strategically used in this area to stimulate collagen production and gradually improve the appearance of skin quality, firmness, and texture.

Rather than creating noticeable volume around the knees, the goal is improved support from within, helping the skin appear smoother and more refined over time.

The chest is one of those areas that can reveal changes in skin quality even when you’ve taken great care of your face.

Collagen loss, aging, and environmental exposure can contribute to thinner, crepey-looking skin and visible lines across the décolletage. Sculptra can be incorporated into a chest rejuvenation plan to stimulate collagen and gradually improve skin quality and firmness.

Results develop progressively, making this less about adding visible volume and more about helping the skin look smoother, stronger, and better supported.

Changes in collagen can contribute to thin, crepey-looking skin through the upper arms, even in patients who are otherwise happy with the shape of their arms.

Sculptra can stimulate collagen production beneath the skin, gradually improving firmness, smoothness, and overall skin quality.

This isn’t a fat-reduction treatment, and it isn’t designed to create dramatic tightening. Instead, it’s an option for patients whose primary concern is the quality and texture of their skin.

Cellulite isn’t simply an issue of excess fat, which is why losing weight doesn’t necessarily make dimples disappear.

For appropriate patients, Sculptra can be placed strategically to improve the appearance of select depressions and uneven texture while stimulating collagen within the treated area.
As collagen develops, treated areas may appear smoother and more even. Sculptra can also be incorporated into a broader body treatment plan when cellulite, skin quality, and contour are all part of the concern.

The goal isn’t perfectly smooth or texture-free skin. It’s a softer, more refined appearance that still looks natural on your body.

Great Sculptra Results Start With Knowing Where To Stimulate Collagen.

Your Sculptra Appointment at Hourglass

Sculptra treatment isn’t about injecting the same amount into the same areas for every patient. Your facial structure, existing volume, previous filler, and long-term goals all influence where and how we treat you.
You Don't Want To Look Filled. You Want To Look Naturally Restored.

Is Sculptra Right for You?

Sculptra can be an excellent option for the right patient, particularly when your concerns involve gradual changes in facial volume and support.
Your cheeks don’t have quite the same fullness, your temples look more hollow, or your overall facial shape has changed. Sculptra can help rebuild collagen in areas where age-related volume loss has become noticeable.
You don’t want to walk into work looking noticeably different after an appointment. Sculptra develops over time, making the transformation much more progressive.

You’re less concerned with filling a single line and more interested in improving the overall support, contour, and quality of your face.

Rather than relying entirely on gel filler for volume, you like the idea of using a biostimulatory treatment that encourages your body to create additional collagen.
Sculptra is designed as a longer-term approach to facial rejuvenation, with results that may last up to two years or longer in some patients after completing an appropriate treatment series.
You don’t have to. We’ll evaluate what you’re seeing and determine whether your concern is better addressed with Sculptra, traditional filler, another treatment, or a combination.
Different Injectables. Different Jobs. One Thoughtful Treatment Plan.

Other Biostimulators & Skin Boosters at Hourglass

At Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness, we also offer Radiesse® and SKINVIVE™ by Juvéderm®, giving us additional tools to address concerns related to facial structure, collagen, hydration, smoothness, and overall skin quality.

Radiesse®

Immediate Structure Meets Long-Term Collagen Support.

Radiesse is a biostimulatory injectable made with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. It provides immediate structural support while also stimulating the body’s production of collagen and elastin over time.

Depending on your treatment plan, Radiesse may be used to improve contour, restore support, and address changes in skin quality in appropriate treatment areas.

Your Hourglass injector will determine which biostimulator better matches your anatomy, treatment area, and goals rather than treating the two products as interchangeable.

SKINVIVE™ by Juvéderm®

Less About Volume. More About The Quality Of Your Skin.

SKINVIVE by Juvéderm takes a completely different approach from traditional dermal fillers and biostimulators.

This injectable hyaluronic acid treatment is FDA-approved for improving cheek smoothness in adults, and clinical studies have also demonstrated improvements in skin hydration. Rather than sculpting a feature or creating noticeable volume, SKINVIVE is injected as tiny microdroplets within the skin.

Think of it as another layer of your injectable plan. Sculptra can focus on collagen and underlying support. Radiesse can address structure and biostimulation. SKINVIVE can focus on the skin’s smooth, hydrated quality.

For the right patient, that combination allows us to think beyond individual lines and wrinkles and create a more comprehensive approach to refreshed, healthy-looking skin.

You Don't Have To Change Your Features To Change The Way Your Face Ages.

Experience Sculptra in Nashville

Sculptra is different because it asks you to be a little patient. There isn’t an instant reveal or one dramatically enhanced feature. Instead, your results build as your own collagen production increases, gradually restoring support where your face has changed over time.
At Hourglass Aesthetics & Wellness, we’ll help you determine whether that approach makes sense for your face. We’ll look at where you’ve lost volume, consider where traditional filler may or may not be necessary, and create a treatment plan designed around where you are now and how you want to age moving forward.
Because sometimes the most beautiful result isn’t adding more. It’s helping your face rebuild what it has gradually lost.

Sculptra FAQs

Understanding Sculptra

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an injectable biostimulator made with poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA. Rather than functioning primarily as an immediate volumizing gel, it stimulates collagen production to gradually improve facial volume and support.
Sculptra is injected into strategically selected areas where its PLLA particles stimulate the body’s collagen-production process. As new collagen develops over time, treated areas can gradually appear fuller and better supported.
Sculptra is an injectable treatment, but it works differently from traditional hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. HA fillers physically add gel-based volume, while Sculptra primarily creates its long-term effect through collagen stimulation.
Yes. Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA-approved for specific aesthetic indications. Your provider will determine whether its use is appropriate for your individual treatment goals.

When will I see my Sculptra results?

Sculptra results develop gradually because collagen production takes time. You may begin noticing changes over the weeks following treatment, with improvement continuing as your collagen response develops.

Sculptra is prepared with fluid before injection, which can create temporary fullness immediately after treatment. As that fluid is absorbed, some of the initial volume decreases before your longer-term, collagen-related results begin to develop.

Results can last up to two years or longer for some patients following an appropriate treatment series, although longevity varies from person to person.
Sculptra is specifically appealing to many patients because results develop gradually. However, natural-looking outcomes still depend on appropriate treatment planning, product amount, placement, and injector technique.

Where can Sculptra be injected?

Depending on your anatomy and treatment goals, Sculptra may be used in areas such as the cheeks, temples, and other appropriate regions experiencing volume loss or reduced structural support.

Yes. Sculptra can be incorporated into treatment plans for age-related volume loss in the cheeks and midface.

Temple hollowing is one area that may be considered for Sculptra treatment in appropriate patients.

Sculptra may contribute to broader lower-face support and contour in selected patients. If your primary goal is very precise jawline definition, however, another treatment, such as hyaluronic acid filler, may be more appropriate.

How many Sculptra treatments will I need?

There isn’t one number that applies to everyone. Your treatment series depends on factors such as your age, anatomy, degree of volume loss, treatment areas, and desired result.

Sculptra works by stimulating a gradual biological response rather than creating all of the desired volume immediately. Multiple sessions can allow us to progressively build collagen stimulation.

Treatments are generally spaced several weeks apart, although your provider will determine the appropriate schedule for your individual plan.
The amount varies considerably from patient to patient. Rather than choosing a vial count based on someone else’s treatment, we’ll determine what makes sense based on your facial anatomy and goals.

Is there downtime after Sculptra?

Sculptra doesn’t typically require major downtime, although temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising can occur after injections.
Massage may be an important part of Sculptra aftercare. Follow the specific massage instructions provided by your injector rather than relying on generalized instructions online.
Your injector will provide individualized aftercare guidance, including when you can safely resume strenuous exercise and other activities.
We’ll provide instructions regarding makeup and skincare after your injections based on your treatment and how your skin responds.

Is Sculptra better than filler?

Neither is universally better. Sculptra is useful when gradual collagen stimulation and broader volume restoration are the goals, while hyaluronic acid filler can be preferable when immediate, precise shaping or projection is needed.

Yes, when appropriate. Sculptra and filler can play complementary roles because one addresses broader collagen and volume changes, while the other provides more targeted structural enhancement.

No. Sculptra stimulates collagen, while Botox temporarily reduces activity in targeted muscles. They address different aspects of facial aging and can sometimes be incorporated into the same broader aesthetic plan.
No. Both can support collagen remodeling, but they work very differently. Sculptra is an injectable biostimulator, while Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy.

That’s what your consultation is for.

You don’t need to choose between Sculptra, filler, or another treatment before you arrive. Tell us what you’ve noticed, what you want to improve, and how you want your results to look.
